Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, fiends, and dark forces expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might appear out of place, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
First, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.
The traitor then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The adventurer is familiar with the region and advises that it is a nasty place.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- However, their position as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team access areas they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that control the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to head to Timmony in quest for Casimir.
Future Episodes
Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the other eight players to round up the Questers and Schemers parties.
Fans can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be where in the season’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
